STP: When did you start writing?

DVG: I have written professionally since 1989. I started writing songs for myself and ghost writing for other rap artist.

STP: What was your inspiration to write them?

DVG: My inspiration was that i was good and my peers respected my ability.

STP: Were there any autobiographical reasons for writing the books?

DVG: The reason I wrote Enemy of the State was to expose the injustices of the modern day Florida court system and the reality of the racial indifferences …etc.

STP: What message do you want taken from those who read your books?

DVG: The message is simple. Stand for something or fall for anything. Know your rights as a tax paying citizen and parent. Never give up!

STP: What is your most favorite quote to live by?

DVG: You can ride with us, or read about us!

STP: What can we expect next from you, where will your next book lead your readers?

DVG: It’s a series I’m developing…most of it real and some fiction so nobody gets indicted.

409492_10150511735256199_1407916322_nAbout Author De Voine Gibson, born in Michigan, split his early youth between Battle Creek and Richmond, Virginia. While attending Battle Creek Central High School, he directed and produced his first short film, “Money, Money, Money.” And, that is where his love for writing began.

The triple  star writer and once member of the “Michigame Players Clique” and founder of “No-Joke Productions” has been host for Bad Boy Radio Show where he was known as “The King of Random Radio.” Gibson starred & co-produced “Iceberg Slim TV Show” and wrote and co-produced two solo hip-hop Albums. His first album dropped in 1998, “A Day N Tha Life” and the other in 2000, “America’s Most Wanted (House of Treez).”

Gibson, then, known as ‘The Bumrusher’ has appeared in film as well. His cameo role in “The Game Don’t Last Forever” cause the likes of his music to dominate the official soundtrack.

Gibson has several singles and collaborations because of his talent. Gibson has shared the MC stage with the likes of Juvenile, Skip, Kid Capri, Trina, Bizzy Bone, MC Breed, Drunken Master, Memph Bleek and several others.
